Seefeld Sprint

Today we had a Sprint competition in Seefeld, Austria. We have been here for almost a week and have had awesome weather. Tuesday it snowed all day but you can't complain about snow in January. Yesterday, after looking at the weather forecast, the jury decided to hold a little unorthodox competition weekend. Today we completed our Sprint jumping competition and following that we took one more jump to count towards tomorrrow's Individual competition. The forecast is for wind so in order to ensure we have a competition tomorrow we jumped one extra jump today. We will see what the weather is like tomorrow, we could do another jump and race 15km or just take today's 2nd jump and do another Sprint tomorrow.

As for today's competition, Billy finished 6th after having jumped to 13th place and having the 2nd fastest time. Johnny finished 19th overall after jumping to 29th and having the 8th fastest time.

Going into our Individual/Sprint competition, Bill is sitting in 7th place after one jump and Johnny is 32nd. We will have to wait until morning to see whether we race 15km or 7.5km.

We are going home Monday for some much needed time at home. Billy and Johnny have been in Europe since the day after Christmas. It has been a long haul and it is time to recharge and get ready for the 3rd period.

No Excuses.
